“Get a good energy audit of your facilities before you start. Build an action plan by prioritizing projects, matching cost and energy efficiency gains. Start by picking some inexpensive easy to do projects to get started, then work up to the more difficult or more expensive. It has taken us a few years, but we are now able to apply for our Energy Star recognition. Our Energy Star score has improved from 38 to 77 over the last six years.”
