There are so many benefits to building an Energy Plan!
Energility, LLC, an energy management firm for non-profit organizations and small businesses around Ohio, has received a grant through the State of Ohio’s Development Services Agency (ODSA) to perform energy audits. They are one of five companies who will receive funding for the next six months for energy audits of any commercial business over 10,000 square feet, on a first-come-first serve basis. Energy audits identify short term and long term actions to take to manage energy. The result will provide an action plan to focus an organization’s or business’s financial resources based on quantified energy and maintenance cost savings potential.
We have reviewed 2.1 million square feet of commercial and industrial building space and analyzed $2.5 million in energy costs to complete 55 detailed energy audits (ASHRAE Level 2 equivalent). As a result, our clients have taken action on $1.1 million in energy conservation and efficiency projects, with 36% of capital funded through the use of rebates, grants, and low cost financing.
